Constantine appeared on The Wendy Williams Show last Monday, Aug. 2. He was seen at the beginning of the show as the show opener and he introduced Wendy Williams. He later talked with Wendy about who might be the new judges on American Idol and about Rock of Ages.

The next morning, Tuesday, Aug. 3 was the day of American Idol auditions at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. Constantine introduced Ryan Seacrest who told the people in the IZOD Center that it was “a record crowd for American Idol.” Constantine also sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Living on a Prayer” from fellow Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
Here’s a nice picture that Constantine himself posted on his Twitter page with Michael Orland, Music Director from American Idol. He and Michael worked together when Constantine was a contestant on AI back on Season 4.

Constantine was interviewed on the entertainment magazine show Extra! last night. The topic was about Paula Abdul leaving American Idol.
Earlier in the week, this blog, like so many others, ran stories about reports that Constantine had been in a bar room fight about Paula Abdul. He set the record straight about what really happened.
Constantine said that he will miss Paula but he’d like to set the record straight about reports he got into a bar brawl over Abdul’s departure.
“It was just a drunk dude at a concert who jumped on my back,” Constantine says of the incident.
Not that the former “Idol” wouldn’t rush to Paula’s defense! “I love Paula. I would hit the streets for her, but that’s not what happened.” He adds that the “show won’t be the same without” Paula.
Constantine was a guest on MSNBC this morning. His segment was live and it aired around 10:40 a.m.

When introduced, the commentator mentioned that he had been nominated for a Tony. He replied that the show, Rock of Ages, had been nominated for 5 Tonys.

He spoke about the final week of the American Idol competition and how there is a chance that either one of the two finalists, Kris Allen or Adam Lambert, has a chance to win.
See the entire interview here on the MSNBC website.
The segment ended on a light note with Constantine giving a plug to American Idol Rewind, Rock of Ages, the soundtrack from the show which is now available for pre-order on Itunes, and finally the Tony Awards show on June 7. The interviewer ended with a compliment to him when she said “you work it, Constantine.”

This week’s American Idol Extra has a segment with Constantine filmed in Times Square.

In his role as a special correspondent, Constantine interviewed people that wanted to ask questions of their favorite American Idol contestants in the top 5 this season.

This past Friday, March 26, Constantine was a guest in The Strategy Roomwhich streams live on the FOX website.

Robert Galinsky hosted “Reality Roundtable” in which Constantine and several “guests” discussed many aspects of reality television. He brought a unique perspective to the discussion as he is an avid tv watcher and he himself is considered a part of the reality tv genre by having been on American Idol.
The host was very generous in giving nice plugs for Rock of Ages.
There were also viewer e-mail questions that were answered. One question that really caught my interest asked if there would be a cast recording from the show. Constantine replied that there is a “big cast recording in the works. It’s going to be kind of amazing; we’re excited.”
I for one, am really pleased to hear that. The music from Rock of Ages is incredible to begin with and the cast of the show is doing an amazing job performing it.
Fancast, a site that says it is a place to watch “Full TV Shows and Movies Free Online,” will have Constantine join them tomorrow night, Wednesday, Feb. 25. The site is advertising the event like this:

The chat comes to us thanks to the series, American Idol Rewind. The show unveils all new episodes featuring American Idol season 4 in national syndication every Saturday this winter and spring. Encore episodes will air on the TV Guide Channel.
This show will feature performances from Group 2 of the Top 36. So if you enjoy Constantine’s commentary on Idol performances, this might be a fun thing to do. By coincidence, there is another nice theater type guy due to perform tomorrow night, Adam Lambert.

Constantine was a guest this morning on PIX 11 Morning News. He talked about his work in Rock of Ages. He also mentioned that there are a lot of “rumors” going around the show transferring to Broadway.
The interview includes a nice scene of Constantine singing part of “Nothing But a Good Time” from the show. The interview is available to watch online. Check it out here.
And thanks goes to the blogger at NY PIX 11Morning News – WPIX – TV
for including a recap of the interview and this picture.

Taye Diggs, star of stage and screen, visited Rock of Ages on Monday, November 23rd. He graciously posed for pictures including this one with Constantine and the entire cast:

Thanks to BroadwayWorld.com for that picture and others which can be found here.
And good looking Ace Young, from Season 5 of American Idol, and now playing Kenickie in Grease on Broadway, came to see Rock of Ages on Nov. 19. This picture shows Ace and Constantine along with Charlie Brusco, manager of the band Styx.

I’ve been watching American Idol since the first season it was on. So it never ceases to amaze me at the way the coverage for the Finale has grown. This year saw the addition of streaming live video right from the red carpet from my own local My FOX network. The coverage rivaled the Academy Awards; right down to voters selecting which dress our local anchor, Jodi Applegate, would wear on the red carpet.
Covering for American Idol Extra, Constantine was spotted several times on both days of the show. Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, he was interviewed by Randi Naughton of My FOX, St. Louis:

He was also interviewed and provided some commentary on the contestants when he appeared on the TV Guide channel with Kim Caldwell and Justin Guarini.

During the Tuesday night show, he was shown sitting with Gina Glocksen with whom he co/hosts AI Extra.

On Wednesday morning, he and Gina were interviewed by Jodi Applegate on Good Day New York. He mentioned that he will be doing something on Broadway this summer. Stay tuned for details.
And finally, here is a nice picture of Constantine, JD Roberto (host of AI Extra) and Gina as they prepared to enter the Nokia for the Wednesday Finale.
