On Friday, Nov. 20, the New York Post reported:
Miley Cyrus dressed as Julia Roberts‘ “Pretty Woman” hooker character for an ’80s party to celebrate her 17th birthday Wednesday night. The teen star — recently criticized for pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards — donned the sexy outfit and danced the night away at the Canal Room on West Broadway, where Constantine Maroulis and the cast of the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages” surprised Miley with a performance. Sources told Page Six: “Miley had seen the show two weeks ago and loved it, so her mom Tish brought the cast in to surprise her. But I’m not sure who was more into Constantine — Miley or her mother.” Between songs from the musical, Miley grabbed Constantine and danced with him at the front of the stage and then Tish joined in.
Not mentioned in the article is the co-star of Rock of Ages, Kerry Butler, who plays Sherrie to Constantine’s Drew, who was also at the event.

Constantine participated in the third annual New York Times Great Children’s Read on Oct. 4 at Columbia University. He joined a star studded group that included Bernadette Peters, Gregory Jbara, Matt Cavenaugh, Cheyenne Jackson, and Linda Eder at the day-long event which is a free celebration of reading featuring live entertainment for children and families.

Looks like there was a full house for his reading of the book “Alvin Ho Allergic to Girls, School, and Other Scary Things.”

The site provides a place where anyone can go to match their interest in volunteering with specific causes that need help.

About the new site, Constantine was quoted as saying:
It’s amazing, we know what it’s like to give back in the Broadway community with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, but this is really a national effort.
Later that day, Constantine was a part of Kiehl’s celebration of the start of Fashion Week 2009 in NYC.

Here is a video clip of him singing at the event.
Constantine and several members of the cast of Rock of Ages were guests on The View today.
On the show’s website, there is a video called An Inside View: Rock of Ages where Constantine discusses what they are going to do on the show and how he is feeling about going on.

Constantine was the first guest of the day.

He was interviewed by Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Sherri Shepherd, and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. They discussed American Idol days and of course, Rock of Ages. But here they are having a light moment looking at his first theater venture, West Side Story, where he was very young and according to Constantine, weighed about 40 pounds – kidding!

A medley from the show was performed by Constantine, Savannah Wise, Ericka Hunter, Tad Wilson, Andre Ward, and Adam Dannheisser.

Looks like the audience received lighters!

Good interview, good performance, good show!

Constantine was a guest yesterday on the CBS Saturday Early Show. He talked about his current work in Rock of Ages and said he is having a blast with it.

He and the co-hosts spoke about how it seems so soon for 1980′s Nostalgia.

He was also asked if he had seen Susan Boyle, the singing sensation from Britain’s Got Talent. He said that he had seen it and it was a good example of how you should not judge a book by its cover. Other topics covered included his time on American Idol and Simon Cowell.
The entire interview is available online at WCBSTV.com.
